Director Shah Rukh Khan and Vetrimaaran's public photo sparks speculation about a potential Tamil film collaboration – Vetrimaaran clarifies the situation

In a recent development, Tamil filmmaker Vetrimaaran met with Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai. The meeting, however, was clarified to be a courtesy call and there are no plans for a Hindi remake of Vetrimaaran's National Award-winning film, Asuran.

Vetrimaaran is known for his gritty and socially conscious films, having directed critically acclaimed movies such as Vada Chennai, Aadukalam, Asuran, and Viduthalai Part 2. The Tamil magazine Vikatan reported on this meeting, fuelling rumours about a possible collaboration between the two.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently occupied with the shooting of his action film 'King' and his daughter Suhana Khan's first theatrical release. Interestingly, he is also set to star in the spy film Pathaan 2, where he will reunite with Deepika Padukone.

In a surprising turn of events, Khan is also rumoured to star in another film alongside Vijay Sethupathi, following their notable rapport during the promotions of Jawan. However, the details of this project are yet to be revealed.

On the other hand, Vetrimaaran is actively pitching scripts to leading Tamil stars Rajinikanth, Vijay, Suriya, and is reaching out to Ajith for potential collaboration. His latest release was Viduthalai Part 2.

It's worth noting that Vetrimaaran has worked with actor Dhanush in many of his films, and the duo has delivered several successful projects in the past. Asuran, directed by Vetrimaaran, won a National Award, further cementing his reputation as a renowned filmmaker.

As the film industry continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see if these rumours lead to any concrete collaborations between Tamil and Bollywood stars. Stay tuned for more updates!
