Discussion at InfoComm 2024: Atlona Discusses 21:9 Content and Educational Strategies
Atlona to Showcase Advanced Classroom Solutions at InfoComm 2024
At InfoComm 2024, Atlona will be demonstrating their latest offerings for the education sector, with a particular focus on higher education and K-12 institutions. Garth Lobban, Director of Marketing at Atlona, expects the 21:9 aspect ratio to be a major topic at the event.
One of Atlona's key products on display will be the AT-VKP-8E keypad controller. This compact device can manage up to 10 devices in a room, including switchers, source devices, displays, and audio systems, via IP and RS-232. The AT-VKP-8E eliminates the need for a separate control processor and panel-based system, offering a more advanced and intuitive control solution.
The AT-VKP-8E is designed for use in enhanced, modern classrooms and small meeting rooms that require more advanced control systems. It features RGB LED indicators and a visual representation of the system's audio level, providing clear presentation and easy device control.
Atlona will also showcase their support for USB-C signals alongside HDMI signals in the classroom. This will allow for seamless connectivity and compatibility with the latest devices. In addition, the company will demonstrate their new CS31 Series of compact matrix switchers, which can acknowledge incoming emergency messages and mute other systems in a room.
Atlona's booth at InfoComm 2024 will be staffed with sales engineers and product managers for customer interaction and needs identification. The changing attendance trends at the event have influenced changes in how Atlona staffs their booth, with a focus on meeting people and networking.
InfoComm 2024 takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 8-14. The event attracts more end-users, including decision makers and C-Level executives from the education and corporate verticals. In recent years, InfoComm has become an increasingly end-user focused show, with fewer dealer and integrator representatives and more end-users attending.
Atlona's cloud-based setup application, Atlona Cloud, will also be on display. This application includes an extensive library of Atlona and third-party device drivers and a wealth of icons for each button, making it easy to customise the keypad controller to suit the needs of individual classrooms or meeting rooms.
The Atlona Omega Series of collaboration products align well with the opportunities that the 21:9 presentation brings to learning and meeting spaces. For example, the Microsoft Teams Front Row layout supports 21:9 content in the top middle portion of the screen, providing a more immersive and engaging experience for participants.
As the official exhibitor plan for InfoComm 2025 has not yet been released, it is recommended that those interested in education solutions at the event visit the InfoComm website a few weeks before the Messe and search for "Education", "K-12" or "Higher Ed". It is also a good idea to follow the web sites and social media channels of the mentioned companies, as they will often communicate in advance who will have a special focus on the education sector.
