Disfigured Elderly Woman, Jewelry Stolen, Watch and Cash Taken from Vehicles; Search for 31-Year-Old Resumes, with Additional Developments

In a series of recent incidents, the criminal police in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis are appealing for the public's help in providing information.

Firstly, a burglary occurred in Schöneck on Saturday afternoon. The burglar was caught by the homeowner in the bathroom but managed to escape. The thief had forced open a cellar window and gained entry to the house, securing jewelry, cash, and watches worth approximately €5,000. Witnesses with any information are asked to contact the Kripo hotline in Hanau (06181 100-123).

In a separate incident, a jewelry theft took place in Hanau/Kesselstadt on Saturday morning. Two unknown individuals, using a dark blue or black station wagon, blocked the path of a senior citizen. One of the tricksters, around 30 years old, approached the pedestrian, put worthless fashion jewelry on them, and stole the senior's gold jewelry. Witnesses to this incident are also asked to call the criminal police at 06181 100-123.

Thieves also targeted an SUV in Bruchkoebel on Thursday, stealing a high-quality wristwatch and several hundred euros in cash. The SUV was parked on a parking lot in the Obermarkersdorfer Straße.

On a more positive note, a missing person search for a 31-year-old from Bad Soden-Salmunster has been withdrawn as they have been found.

The perpetrators of the robberies in Hanau and Main-Kinzig-Kreis, known since September 1, 2025, include a 38-year-old man arrested in Hanau. He, along with two accomplices described as a 25-30-year-old man with a full beard and a 40-45-year-old muscular man, threatened a victim with a knife to steal his wallet. The two accomplices remain at large. Another identified perpetrator is a 27-year-old suspect in a tank station robbery.

Lastly, the criminal police are seeking witnesses regarding the burglary at the outdoor pool in Sterbfritz, Langenselbold (06181 100-123). In this incident, two unknown individuals committed a burglary, stealing cash and approximately four kilograms of coffee.
