Walt Disney Animation Studios Announces Upcoming Releases: "Zootopia 2" and "Hexed"
Exciting news for animation fans! Walt Disney Animation Studios has announced two new films set to hit the big screen in the next few years.
First up, the much-anticipated sequel to the beloved film "Zootopia" is on its way. Titled "Zoomania 2" in Germany, the film will feature Ginnifer Goodwin reprising her role as Judy Hopps, alongside a star-studded cast including Yvette Nicole Brown as the Bearoness and EMT Otter, Ke Huy Quan as Gary De'Snake, Shakira, Quinta Brunson, and Fortune Feimster in undisclosed roles. Patrick Warburton will voice Mayor Winddancer, and Jason Bateman returns as Nick Wilde. Jared Bush and Byron Howard are directing the film, with Yvett Merino as producer. "Zootopia 2" is scheduled to hit theaters on November 26, 2027.
In addition to "Zoomania 2", Disney has also announced a new film titled "Hexed". Roy Conli and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster-Jones are producing the movie, with Josie Trinidad and Jason Hand at the helm as directors. The logline for "Hexed" is intriguing: "An awkward teenage boy and his Type-A mom, who discover that what makes him unusual, might just be magical powers that will turn their lives and a secret world of magic, upside down." "Hexed" is scheduled to hit theaters in November 2026.
