In the small town of Imst, a house fire on Spitzweg Street caused quite a stir. The incident, which took place on Monday, saw the swift response of the local fire department.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met with thick smoke billowing from a kitchen window and a pungent, black smoke pouring out of the entrance door of the semi-detached house. The source of the fire was traced back to overheated batteries in a charging device.

A 40-year-old woman and her 15-year-old daughter were among those treated for suspected smoke inhalation. Sadly, the name of the woman who was taken to the hospital due to the inhalation is not specified in the sources. As a precaution, a neighbour was also evacuated.

Fortunately, the incident was quickly resolved, and the fire department managed to contain the blaze effectively. The cause of the fire serves as a reminder to always monitor charging devices and ensure they are not left unattended.

Our thoughts are with the affected family during this difficult time. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
