Dolby Atmos-equipped Heston soundbar by Marshall aims to displace Sonos Beam (Gen 2) from its dominant position.

On September 23, 2025, British audio brand Marshall is set to launch the Heston 60 Dolby Atmos soundbar and the Heston Sub 200 subwoofer. These devices, priced at approximately Β£500 and Β£430 respectively for the UK market, are designed to offer high-quality audio experiences with a focus on modularity, repairability, and the iconic vintage Marshall design.

The Heston 60 soundbar, compact yet mighty, is suitable for smaller spaces. It boasts two woofers and five full-range drivers, with a total power output of 56W. The soundbar's unique design includes specially designed waveguides and angled front drivers, ensuring optimal sound quality. It offers connectivity options including Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, HDMI 2.1 (eARC), 3.5mm aux port, RCA input, USB-C, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect.

The Heston 60 comes with four sound modes: Movie, Music, Night, and Voice. It can be mounted two ways: flat against the wall or on a TV bench. The Heston Sub 200 subwoofer, featuring two 5.25 inch subwoofers and two 120W Class D amplifiers, offers a peak total power output of 236W.

The Heston 60 and Sub 200 can be controlled via the Marshall app. Both products are available in a cream or black finish. The Heston 60 and Sub 200 follow on from the release of the Marshall Heston 120.

In a head-to-head test, the Heston 60 was compared to the Sonos Arc Ultra, which performed better, priced at around Β£900 / $1000 / AU$1799. On the other hand, the Heston 120, a larger and more expensive model, had a three-star overall rating in testing due to weak Dolby Atmos performance and lack of dynamics.

The Heston Sub 200, priced similarly to the Q Acoustics QB12 subwoofer at Β£499 / AU$1,399 (around $670), offers the latest Bluetooth LE Audio wireless technology for easy movement around the home. The Heston Sub 200 subwoofer has been introduced alongside the Heston 60.

Whether you're looking for a compact sound solution or a powerful subwoofer, the Marshall Heston 60 and Heston Sub 200 offer a range of options to enhance your audio experience.
