Domestic defense company Asisguard hands over the indigenous Aggoz Gimbal 275, commencing its operational duties.

The Turkish defense firm, Asisguard, has made a significant stride in the local defense industry by delivering its domestically developed electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeting system, the Aggoz Gimbal 275, to Turkey's security forces.

Baris Duzgun, the general manager and CEO of Asisguard, highlighted the importance of high-performance electro-optical systems in modern combat environments. He emphasized that the Aggoz system is designed to offer critical advantages in border security, counterterrorism, and reconnaissance missions.

The Aggoz Gimbal 275 is an unmanned drone system equipped with a high-resolution daytime camera and a cooled thermal camera, along with a laser rangefinder, automatic target tracking, and image stabilization. These features enable the system to conduct long-term reconnaissance and surveillance, both at night and in adverse weather conditions.

Baris Duzgun also stated that Asisguard aims to achieve strong export performance alongside domestic solution development. He mentioned that they will continue to enhance the performance of their systems and develop new platforms. However, his statements did not provide any new information about the Aggoz system's capabilities or equipment.

The development of the Aggoz Gimbal 275 was the result of long-term research and development aimed at boosting operational capabilities. The system is set to be deployed across air, land, and sea platforms, earning it the moniker of a "domestically made eye" in the field.

Baris Duzgun asserted that the Aggoz system is crucial for boosting the effectiveness of offensive operations and detecting targets from a distance. He also suggested that the Aggoz system is designed to be futureproof, implying its ability to adapt to evolving threats and requirements in the defense sector.

The successful completion of field tests before entering service underscores the reliability and efficiency of the Aggoz Gimbal 275. With its delivery to Turkey's security forces, the nation's defense capabilities have been significantly enhanced, providing a robust solution for various security-related challenges.
