Dresden Fire and Rescue Service Operations Report for August 30, 2025 in the Capital City of Dresden

In the span of a single evening on August 30, 2025, the Dresden Fire Department and Rescue Services were kept busy responding to several incidents across the city.

The day's events began with a fire of waste materials at a recycling company on Maxener Street, Lockwitz, which was quickly extinguished by the fire department with the help of a loader and heavy foam. A total of 29 firefighters and paramedics from various stations, including Übigau, Altstadt, Lâbtau, and Mobschatz, responded to the incident.

At 10:53 PM, the fire department was alerted to a burning car on Kirchenweg, Mobschatz. Upon arrival, no smoke or fire was initially visible, but a caller reported seeing smoke at the building's rear side. Upon forced entry, smoke from burnt food was found inside an apartment, and glowing embers were extinguished with heavy foam. An unconscious person was found on a couch in the affected apartment, and medical measures were initiated immediately. A rescue physician was requested, and the injured person was later transported to a hospital by the rescue service.

In the meantime, the rescue helicopter Christoph 38 was requested five times in the control center area. In 74 cases, the services of a rescue physician were required. There were also 16 deployments for technical assistance, such as supporting traffic accidents, removing spilled hazardous materials, or providing carrying assistance for the rescue service.

The evening's events also included four false alarms triggered by automatic fire alarm systems. The police have taken up investigations into the cause of the fires.

The fire stations involved in the three events on August 30, 2025, were: FF Uplengen-Mitte for tree removal in Uplengen (HLF 20, LF 20) early morning; Feuerwehr Schiltach for a help operation in Schiltach from 13:30 to 15:30; and the fire brigades Frohnleiten-Stadt and Peggau for a traffic accident on the S35 highway at 22:52.

The site of the recycling company fire was covered with sand and slag to prevent reignition, and was handed over to an employee of the company.

In the last 24 hours, the emergency services in Dresden were alerted 221 times. The services called out to six fire incidents in the same period.

Overall, it was a busy night for the Dresden Fire Department and Rescue Services, demonstrating their dedication and readiness to respond to any emergency situation that arises.
