Driver collides with tree, causing accident
In Niederkassel, Germany, a traffic accident occurred on August 8th at the intersection of Feldmühlestraße / Kasseler Weg. The incident involved a 34-year-old local resident driving an Opel.
According to reports, the man was intending to turn right from Kasseler Weg into Feldmühlestraße. To avoid an oncoming vehicle, he steered further to the right, leaving the road, and collided with a tree.
As a result of the collision, the man sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The material damage from the accident is estimated to be several thousand euros. Regrettably, the man's Opel was no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away.
The Traffic Commission of the Police in the Rhein-Sieg District has initiated an investigation into the cause of the traffic accident. The investigation will focus on the circumstances leading to the accident at the intersection of Feldmühlestraße / Kasseler Weg.
