Drunken Driver (73 years old) in Ehrenfeld causes multiple vehicle collisions; Polish authorities investigating the accident scene
In an unfortunate incident that took place on Thursday, August 28, around 10:30 PM, a 73-year-old driver from Bochum collided with three parked vehicles in the area of Friederikastraße / Knepperstraße.
The collision caused the three vehicles to move over 20 meters onto the sidewalk and adjacent curb, resulting in significant damage. The vehicles involved in the collision were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away.
In a bizarre turn of events, after the collision, the elderly man fled the scene in his car and was later found asleep and heavily intoxicated on a nearby parking lot. A doctor took a blood sample from the driver, and a breathalyzer test showed a reading of 1.62 promille.
The officers seized the 73-year-old's driver's license and car keys. The driver's car was also involved in the collision.
The Bochum Police are investigating the incident further. For any inquiries, please contact Marina Sablic at 0234 909-1026, via email at [email protected], or visit their website at https://bochum.polizei.nrw/. The traffic commission has taken over the further investigations.
