Duration of Imprisonment for Storm Defender Wüthrich Revealed
Sturm Graz and WAC Face Suspensions Ahead of Crucial Matches
In a surprising turn of events, two Austrian football clubs, Sturm Graz and WAC, are set to face suspensions for their upcoming matches.
Gregory Wuethrich, the Swiss defender for Sturm Graz, has been handed a one-game suspension following a red card foul during the league clash against Red Bull Salzburg. As a result, he will miss the home game against Blau-Weiss Linz scheduled for Easter Sunday at 2:30 PM. It is yet unknown who will replace Wuethrich as Sturm Graz's defensive leader against Blau-Weiß Linz.
Meanwhile, WAC defender Chibuiwke Nwaiwu has been suspended for two games due to a violent foul. One game of his suspension has been conditionally suspended for six months. The foul committed by Nwaiwu resulted in a score of 2:1 in the away game against Blau-Weiß. However, this suspension will not affect the two matches against Austria Wien.
The current league standings show Sturm Graz leading in the Bundesliga title race, while Red Bull Salzburg is one of the runners-up. With these suspensions, both teams will need to adapt and find solutions to maintain their positions.
The two matches against Austria Wien will take place after the games against Blau-Weiss Linz. The game between WAC and Rapid is also scheduled for Sunday at 2:30 PM.
These suspensions mark the second such occurrence in the league this week, with both Wuethrich and Nwaiwu receiving suspensions. Despite these setbacks, both teams remain determined to secure their positions in the Bundesliga.
