Philadelphia Eagles' Star AJ Brown Ready for Week 1 Against Dallas Cowboys

As the NFL season approaches, one of the most anticipated matchups will be the Philadelphia Eagles' season opener against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. For the Eagles, key offensive star AJ Brown is ready to take the field, expressing optimism about his health.

"Hell, yeah," Brown said when asked whether he'll play against Dallas, according to Jeff McLane. This statement comes after Brown missed some time during the Eagles' training camp due to a hamstring injury.

Brown's optimism is a welcome relief for the Eagles, who are bringing back most of their core players for their title defense. The major change to the Eagles' offense last season, with the addition of elite running back Saquon Barkley, contributed to a decrease in Brown's touches. However, this potential reduction could provide Brown with an opportunity to bounce back and demonstrate his elite wide receiver capabilities.

In his first two seasons in Philadelphia, Brown notched over 1,400 yards each time, with one season falling just four yards shy of 1,500 yards. However, his performance in the 2022 season was a significant drop from his first two years, with 1,079 yards on 67 catches and seven touchdowns. The Eagles might look to give Barkley fewer touches in the upcoming season to help him recover, which could mean more opportunities for Brown.

Brown's resurgence could be crucial for the Eagles, who are the defending Super Bowl champions. The Eagles' success in the 2022 season, including a run through the playoffs, was partly due to the increased use of Barkley. However, with Brown back at full strength, the Eagles' offense could be even more formidable.

Despite some worry that Brown might miss the Eagles' season opener against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 due to his injury, it now seems that he will be ready to play. This is good news for the Eagles, who will need all hands on deck to take on the Cowboys and start their title defense on the right foot.
