The new section, located adjacent to the ElsenbrĂźcke to Friedrichshain, was intended to alleviate the previously tense traffic situation in the Treptow area. However, it seems that the new section has not lived up to expectations.
Senator Bonde has stated that the traffic on the new highway section is behaving differently than what was simulated before its opening. She is currently observing and evaluating the actual situation at the end of the new section near Treptower Park and the ElsenbrĂźcke. Confusing situations, especially for pedestrians, have been reported around the on- and off-ramps in Treptow.
The 16th section of the A100, which leads from the NeukĂślln interchange to the Treptow exit, was recently opened. However, its contribution to the traffic situation has not yet been evident, as the issues with traffic management that Senator Bonde is currently observing and evaluating persist.
