The economy of Rhineland-Palatinate is gearing up for the annual Mittelstandstag event, scheduled for September 17, 2024, in Mainz. This year's theme, "Achieving More Sustainability and Value Creation with Artificial Intelligence," promises to be a significant focus.

Economy Minister Daniela Schmitt has extended a warm invitation to medium-sized companies to attend this year's event. The venue for the gathering will be the Foyer of the Investment and Structural Bank Rhineland-Palatinate (ISB) in Mainz.

Registration for the Mittelstandstag 2024 is now open and can be done via the link: https://registration.isb-event.de/mittelstandstag2024. The event is free to attend.

The day's activities will kick off at 3 pm with a diverse exhibition area, where interested parties can learn about various topics hands-on. The DigiTruck, the mobile digitalization lab of the DigiMit2 project of the University of Koblenz, will offer the opportunity to try out different application areas of digital technologies at the entrance.

The event offers excellent opportunities for networking, exchange, and provides a practical presentation of future topics, supporting companies in their competitiveness. The cooperation partners for this year's event are the Investment and Structural Bank Rhineland-Palatinate and the state's Sparkassen.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is highlighted as offering immense opportunities for the Mittelstand to increase efficiency and develop sustainable business models. The AI Trainer for the Mittelstand of the Digital Center Kaiserslautern will provide information on further financing and funding opportunities and AI application possibilities in companies.

The Innovation Agency Rhineland-Palatinate will accompany the AI Trainer session and present its offers. The event provides an overview of existing networks and support offers, including those from the state's Innovation Agency.

The main program, starting at 4 pm, will be opened by Minister Schmitt with an impulse speech. The Mittelstandstag aims to help medium-sized companies strengthen their competitiveness through AI use.
