Ekaterinburg's Vayner Street faces a facelift in 2026 – here's a sneak peek at its potential transformation.

The central promenade of Yekaterinburg, Vainer, is set for a much-needed makeover. The city's mayor, Alexei Orlov, has announced the restoration of the iconic Ural Arbat by 2026. The financing for the project until 2026 is secured by the government of Sverdlovsk Oblast.

The restoration will involve replacing damaged elements on Vainer, including old tiles, benches, trash cans, and planters. The acting regional governor, Denis Pasler, is expected to provide support for the project.

Orlov emphasized the importance of maintaining Vainer, one of the city's attractions, and the need for its development. He announced the start of repairs to Vainer in 2023, with the main promenade's paving set to begin in July.

Architects are developing a unified format for signs on Vainer to ensure a harmonious look. The beautification of the Ural Arbat could involve local businesses, as examples of cooperation between the city and socially responsible companies already exist.

Festive lighting and light structures are currently being installed on Vainer, adding to the excitement of the upcoming restoration. The regional experience in solving important issues for residents is rich, and this project is no exception.

Denis Pasler has also emphasized the need for the development of the Ural Arbat, ensuring the project's continued support from the regional government. The official project documentation for the Vainer restoration is available, paving the way for a successful restoration of the Ural Arbat by 2026.
