Senior Cycling, a new concept focused on safety and prevention for older cyclists, is set to make its debut in the town of Gronau on 25th September 2025. This event is part of the preventive work of the Circular Police Authority Borken and is not the first or the last in the series.

The events, which are limited to a maximum of twelve participants, are designed to cater to the individual needs of each cyclist. Participants will gain valuable insights into critical traffic situations, with experts providing guidance and advice.

Route guidance in Senior Cycling is based on current accident hotspots in the circular area, ensuring a safe and well-planned route for all cyclists. Important tips on intersection and roundabout behavior, bike lane usage, helmet usage, lights, and roadworthy equipment will also be provided.

In addition to the Gronau event, Senior Cycling events are scheduled for 25th September 2025 in Borken, 9th October 2025 in Bocholt, and 30th October 2025 in Ahaus. These events are all part of the preventive work of the circular and police, aiming to ensure the safety of older cyclists.
