Elderly woman brutally slain; suspect apprehended
In a shocking turn of events, a 26-year-old man named Teruto Onoue has been arrested for the murder of his 76-year-old grandmother in Fukusaki, Hyogo Prefecture.
According to reports, the murder occurred on Thursday night between 7:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the victim's home. The victim, Eiko Onoue, was found lying face-up on the stairs, bleeding, by her son on Friday morning. She was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The method of murder, as admitted by Teruto Onoue, was both strangulation and bludgeoning with a hammer. The alleged murder weapon used by Onoue was a hammer, which was reportedly found at the crime scene.
It is alleged that the dispute between Onoue and his grandmother was related to the repayment of borrowed money. Onoue admitted to having a dispute with his grandmother over this matter. He also admitted to striking his grandmother on the back of the head with a hammer.
Onoue is currently employed at a car dealership, but there is no publicly available information about his lawyer in Japan.
