VinFast to Debut Electric Buses in Europe at Busworld Trade Fair

VinFast, a Vietnamese automaker, is set to make a significant stride in Europe's transportation sector. The company will debut its electric buses at the Busworld trade fair in Brussels this October.

The electric buses, specifically developed for Europe, will be the EB 8 and EB 12 models. These buses are designed to contribute to creating intelligent, green, and sustainable cities in Europe, as VinFast aims to make electric mobility accessible to all.

The buses are powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, sourced from reliable global leading suppliers like CATL and Gotion. They offer a real range of up to 400 kilometers, enabling them to cater to various routes and demands.

VinFast's electric buses have been operating in Vietnam for four years, and the company aims to bring this experience to the European market. The buses can charge at a rate of up to 140 kW, enabling a full charge in two to three hours.

The company's expansion in Europe aligns with the Paris Agreement on climate change and the EU's goals for ecological transition. VinFast aims to contribute to creating an emissions-free transportation system and a cleaner, greener life for Europeans.

In line with the EU's targets, VinFast's electric buses comply with UNECE and CE regulations. The EU has set a target for new city buses to reduce emissions by 90% by 2030, compared to 2019 levels, and the EU aims for new vehicles to be emissions-free by 2035.

VinFast has identified the German supplier ZF as a key European partner for its cooperation in autonomous driving technology. The companies will work together on automated driving systems and sensor integration. Beyond ZF, VinFast emphasizes strategic cooperation with local dealers and service partners across Europe to support its electric bus expansion and service network.

VinFast's entry into the European public transport market will be outlined at the Busworld event. The company aims to collaborate with European partners in the transport and infrastructure sectors to further its goals in Europe.

The debut of VinFast's electric buses in Europe marks an important step towards a greener and more sustainable future for the continent. With its focus on accessibility, compliance with regulations, and strategic partnerships, VinFast is poised to make a significant impact in Europe's transportation sector.
