In the rapidly evolving world of automobiles, electric vehicles (EVs) are making a significant impact on the German Automotive market. The latest statistics reveal an interesting shift in the pecking order among the domestic brands.

The Opel Corsa-e has emerged as the highest-selling vehicle among German automotive market's domestic brands, with a total of 8,978 units sold between January and August 2022. However, it is worth noting that the German Automotive market's domestic brands trail behind the Hyundai Kona in terms of new registrations.

The Volkswagen ID.3, a part of the Volkswagen ID series, has proven to be a popular choice among consumers, with a staggering 8,956 new registrations, placing it in second place. In August 2022, the Volkswagen ID.3 even took the crown as the best-selling electric vehicle in the German market.

Tesla's Model Y and Model 3 follow closely, with the Model Y securing the second position with 12,709 new registrations, and the Model 3 coming in third with 12,023 new registrations. Interestingly, Tesla is chasing the small Italian BEV from Stellantis in the German Automotive market, with the Czech Skoda Enyaq slightly ahead with 7,701 registrations.

The Czech Skoda Enyaq, despite not being the best-selling vehicle among the Volkswagen ID series, has managed to outsell the Volkswagen UP!, which had 7,700 registrations in the German Automotive market. It's worth mentioning that the Volkswagen UP! is not a part of the Volkswagen ID series.

The small BMW i3, another domestic vehicle, has seen 8,039 registrations between January and August 2022. However, it is not the best-selling vehicle among German automotive market's domestic brands, as BMW has announced plans to phase out the small BMW i3.

The Hyundai Kona, despite finishing behind the podium spot with 9,577 units sold, has shown a strong presence in the market. Meanwhile, the Stellantis' small BEV has managed to stay ahead of Tesla in the German Automotive market.

In conclusion, the German Automotive market is witnessing a shift towards electric vehicles, with the Opel Corsa-e leading the way among domestic brands. The Volkswagen ID.3, Tesla's Model Y, and Model 3 are hot on its heels, making for an exciting race in the electric vehicle segment.
