Electric Ford Charging Stations Debut in Canada and the United States, Totaling 1,200 Fast Charging Units.

Ford has taken a significant step forward in its electrification strategy with the launch of Ford Charge, a public fast-charging network available across the United States and Canada. The network currently boasts over 1,200 DC fast chargers installed at more than 320 Ford dealerships, with plans to expand further.

The Ford Charge network is an integral part of the BlueOval Charge Network, which encompasses chargers from various providers. This integration allows for seamless charging experiences for EV drivers, regardless of the make of their vehicle.

Many Ford dealerships have chosen to have Ford manage the operations of the charging stations through the Ford Charge network. This decision ensures a consistent and reliable charging experience for customers.

One of the standout features of Ford Charge is its support for Plug & Charge functionality. This feature simplifies the connection and authentication process for charging sessions at participating stations, making it easier and more convenient for EV owners.

Ford Charge is open to all EV drivers, not just Ford customers. This inclusive approach ensures that the network caters to a wide range of electric vehicles.

For added convenience, the FordPass app can be used to manage charging sessions at Ford Charge stations. Additionally, drivers can locate, check real-time availability, see pricing information, and plan routes with charging stops included using apps like FordPass, PlugShare, and Shell Recharge.

Ford has established a dedicated call-centre line offering round-the-clock live support for users of its charging stations. This support line ensures that EV owners have access to assistance whenever they need it.

Many Ford Charge stations are available 24/7 for public use, providing flexibility for drivers who need to charge their vehicles outside of regular business hours.

With Ford Charge, EV owners can access fast charging within 18 miles on most major U.S. highways, offering peace of mind during long journeys. The network's expansion is backed by the major automaker, providing reassurance to EV owners that the network will continue to grow and evolve to meet their needs.

While information about which automobile dealers in the USA and Canada have joined the Ford Charge program is not readily available, the network's current coverage spans a significant portion of both countries. As the network continues to grow, more dealerships are expected to join, further increasing the network's reach and convenience for EV owners.
