Elevator Assault and Robbery of Elderly Passenger
In a shocking incident that took place on Sunday afternoon, an 84-year-old man was robbed in an elevator in Berlin-Schöneberg. The robber, an unknown young man, allegedly snatched a chain from the victim's neck before fleeing the elevator.
The elderly man tried to hold onto the robber but was struck on the head. He was subsequently kicked in the head and body by the robber before the latter escaped the building. The 84-year-old man was left with bruises and skin abrasions and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
His 80-year-old wife, who was also present during the incident, initially declined medical treatment. Fortunately, she did not sustain any injuries during the robbery.
