Eli Manning's assertion about a Martin Scorsese connection concerning Saquon Barkley is refuted by the former New York Giants running back himself.

In a unique collaboration, acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese is producing a documentary about the life and career of former New York Giants running back, Saquon Barkley. Titled "Saquon," the documentary premieres on Prime Video on October 9, 2025, the same day as the Giants and Eagles' first matchup in 2025.

Barkley, who was selected by the Giants with the second-overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, played for the team for two seasons from 2018 to 2019. During this period, he made a significant impact, playing in all 16 games in his rookie year, rushing for 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also added another 91 catches on 121 targets and 721 yards and four touchdowns through the air.

However, Barkley's tenure with the Giants was not without its challenges. He missed three games in the 2019 season, and the team went 4-12. In 2020, Barkley suffered a torn ACL and missed 14 games, ending his time with the Giants. Barkley left the team in 2024 and signed with the Eagles, where he went on to win a Super Bowl in his first year.

The documentary promises to delve into Barkley's trials, tribulations, work, and love for the Giants organization. It will also feature a "classic Scorsese" twist, as Eli Manning, Barkley's former teammate, suggested Barkley switch teams during a ManningCast.

Barkley, however, does not think Giants fans would like him back in their team's uniform. Despite this, the documentary is sure to be a fascinating insight into the life and career of one of the NFL's most talented players.

The first NFL season to be decided by a Super Bowl was the 1966 season, culminating in Super Bowl I, where the Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10. This game was originally called the AFL-NFL World Championship Game and later renamed Super Bowl I. The NFL has come a long way since then, and Saquon's story is a testament to the passion, determination, and resilience required to succeed in the league.
