EmblemHealth Appoints VMLY&R as Agency of Record
In a significant move, health insurance giant EmblemHealth has announced that VMLY&R will be taking over as their agency of record. EmblemHealth, a large not-for-profit health insurance group of companies, boasts 3.1 million members, covering one in three New Yorkers.
Based in New York City, EmblemHealth is part of a family of companies that includes AdvantageCare Physicians and ConnectiCare. The appointment of VMLY&R follows a thorough review process.
Jessica Post, the evp, executive director at VMLY&R, expressed her positivity about the impact on more than three million lives. Post's statement, however, did not provide any new details.
VMLY&R, a subsidiary of WPP, brings its creativity and healthcare expertise to the table. The company will be responsible for brand communications, marketing strategy, creative assignments, and media planning for all of EmblemHealth's companies. Last year, $17.2 million was spent on media by EmblemHealth, implying that VMLY&R will be managing all media planning moving forward.
Post also stated that VMLY&R will work to drive growth and serve the community in new ways for all of EmblemHealth's companies. The exact nature of these new ways was not specified in the announcement.
This partnership aims to strengthen EmblemHealth's position in the healthcare industry and provide better services to its vast member base. The company looks forward to working with VMLY&R to achieve these goals.
