Emergency on a rooftop in Klein Nordende: Rescue team mobilized after someone falls

In the quiet town of Klein Nordende, a series of incidents unfolded on the evening of May 7, 2025, requiring a coordinated response from multiple emergency services.

The first incident involved a 14-year-old boy from Elmshorn who was severely injured in a quad accident at the intersection of Rotenlehm and FinkhΓΆrn. The fire brigade arrived at the scene and, by 21:00 hrs, handed over the injured boy to the rescue service.

Simultaneously, a separate incident occurred during construction work in a residential property on Bauerweg. A person fell from a roof truss into a two-story building and landed on the first floor. This incident prompted the deployment of the turntable ladder from Elmshorn and the height rescue group of the Pinneberg district.

At 20:50 hrs, the turntable ladder was positioned on the narrow driveway of the residential property. The injured person was placed in a so-called Stokes basket stretcher and, due to the narrow rescue route via the staircase, the operation was adjusted to THHOHE (Technical Assistance Standard, Rescue from Height or Depth) at 20:15 hrs.

A member of the height rescue group was secured to the stretcher and continued to care for the injured person during the rescue. In addition to the rescue service, the voluntary fire brigade of Klein Nordende was deployed to free the person from the building.

The cause of the accidents and the severity of the injuries are not disclosed by the fire brigade.
