Early Saturday morning, a significant deployment of emergency services and police was triggered in response to a "mass casualty incident" (MCI) at a campsite in Weilermühle, Weiler, Friedrichshafen.

The emergency dispatch center immediately declared an MCI after receiving reports of several camp counselors complaining of symptoms and dialing emergency services. The nature of the illnesses was initially unclear, but it was confirmed that no campers were injured, according to a police spokesperson.

At the scene, at least five ambulances were deployed, along with the fire department, the police, and additional volunteer emergency service personnel. Three emergency physicians were also dispatched to the campsite.
