Multiple Traffic Accidents Reported in East Hesse on Tuesday

Several traffic accidents occurred in the districts of Fulda and Hersfeld-Rotenburg, East Hesse, on Tuesday, 9th July. The police headquarters in East Hesse (HEF) is responsible for traffic reports in these districts.

In the morning, at around 11:10, an accident took place along the B62 from Sorga towards Eichhof. An 18-year-old driver from Bad Hersfeld was involved in the accident. The collision occurred when the 18-year-old's vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old driver who was entering from the right. The impact caused the 57-year-old's vehicle to spin out of control. The 57-year-old driver and his passenger, as well as the 18-year-old driver, were lightly injured and taken to a clinic. All three vehicles had to be towed away due to the accident.

Another accident occurred in the same hour along B27 from Bad Hersfeld towards Unterhaun. A 57-year-old driver from Wildeck was involved in this accident. An 81-year-old driver from Hauneck was also involved in the same accident. The 81-year-old tried to avoid the collision but was still touched by the 18-year-old's vehicle. The accident in this case resulted in no injuries.

Later in the day, at around 18:45, a traffic accident occurred along K 57, near the Sportplatz Engelhelms in Eichenzell. The accident involved an 82-year-old Toyota driver from Eichenzell and a 54-year-old Eichenzeller in VW vehicles. Fortunately, no one was injured in this accident. The estimated damage to the vehicles is around 7,000 euros.

A motorcycle accident occurred in Großenlüder-Müs at around 20:45. The motorcyclist, a 63-year-old on a Suzuki motorcycle, lost control and had an accident along Stockhäuser Straße, causing severe injuries and estimated damage of around 6,000 euros to the motorcycle and nearby structures.

In a separate incident along Hünfelder Straße from the city center towards Hauneck, a hit-and-run accident occurred at around 11:15. An e-scooter driver was involved in the accident. The unknown driver fled the scene and is believed to be driving a silver sedan, possibly a Mercedes-Benz, of southern appearance. The identity of the driver and the type of vehicle they were driving are not disclosed in the available information.

In a tragic turn of events, another motorcyclist in Großenlüder was taken to a hospital due to severe injuries following a motorcycle accident that occurred at around 20:45 near house number 7 on Stockhäuser Straße. The estimated damage to the motorcycle in this accident is around 6,000 euros.

The total material damage from all these accidents is estimated at around 16,000 euros. The police are investigating all incidents and urge drivers to exercise caution on the roads.
