Emus, Clownfish, and Gorillas: A Unique Trio of Wildlife Species

On Sunday, September 7th, Nuremberg Zoo is offering a unique opportunity for visitors to gain insights into the diverse roles that animal fathers play in their respective families.

Two special guided tours, starting at 11 am and 2 pm, will take place on the day. These tours, titled "Fathers in the Animal Kingdom," will be led by Christian Dienemann, a zookeeper at Nuremberg Zoo.

The tours will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and will provide a fascinating exploration of the parental behaviours exhibited by different animal species. The tour will visit exhibits featuring emus, gorillas, and clownfish, offering a chance to observe and learn about the various ways in which these animal fathers contribute to their offspring's upbringing.

While some animal fathers disappear immediately after mating, others participate actively in raising their offspring. The tours aim to showcase the diversity in these roles and provide a unique understanding of the parental care strategies employed by different species in nature.

Nuremberg Zoo is excited to announce these special tours, which compare the animal fathers in the animal kingdom. Visitors will leave with a newfound appreciation for the role of fathers in the animal world.

So, mark your calendars for Sunday, September 7th, and join Christian Dienemann for a captivating journey into the world of "Fathers in the Animal Kingdom" at Nuremberg Zoo.
