Engaging conversations and networking events for women on foot
The city of Lünen is set to introduce a new series of events aimed at fostering encounters and strengthening community. The Equal Opportunities and Women's Office of the city, in collaboration with the Volkshochschule, is launching the "Walk & Talk" events on September 14, 2025.
The first meeting will take place on the market square in front of the town hall in Lünen at 3 pm. Each subsequent event will occur on the second Sunday of every month, with a few exceptions. The December event will take place on the 14th.
The "Walk & Talk" events are designed to provide an opportunity for women and girls to engage in conversation and make new connections in a relaxed outdoor setting. The walks will last approximately an hour at a leisurely pace, ensuring all participants can keep up.
The goal of the "Walk & Talk" events is to foster encounters and strengthen community. The meetings will focus on shared exchange, making new connections, and enjoying the outdoors in a relaxed atmosphere.
No registration is required for the "Walk & Talk" events. Participation in the events is free. Future events are scheduled for October 12, 2025, starting from the car park at Cappenberger See (Wehrenboldstraße), and November 9, 2025, starting from the car park of the REWE market in Horstmar (Baukelweg).
