In the heart of Baden-Baden, the most coveted trophy in German horse racing was up for grabs - the Golden Whip. Over 10,000 spectators gathered to witness the thrilling race, and among them, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who owned the new Golden Whip winner, The Striking Viking.

Trained by Hamad A. Jehani and ridden by Faleh Bughenaim, The Striking Viking stormed to victory in the 1,200-meter race, worth 70,000 euros. The trainer expressed a "great feeling" after the win, hinting at plans to bring more horses to the Baden-Baden racetrack next year.

The race saw a number of outsider horses vying for the top spot. Nina Baltromei's War Bride came in a close second, a testament to Baltromei's formidable racing skills as she had previously won the Derby. Meanwhile, Zerostress, ridden by David Oppenheim, finished the race in third place, repeating his victory in the Golden Whip race two years ago.

However, the exact identities of the second and third place horses or their owners were not disclosed in the race's aftermath. Nonetheless, the spotlight was undoubtedly on The Striking Viking, owned by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's racing company, Wathan Racing.

As the dust settles on the Golden Whip race, the racing community eagerly awaits the next chapter, with the promise of more exciting races and new contenders in the Baden-Baden racetrack next year.
