Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series during the Samsung Unpacked livestream today, showcasing the advanced flagship smartphones: the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra.

Samsung has announced the release of its latest smartphone series, the Galaxy S25, which includes the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. The devices will be available for purchase starting February 7, 2025.

Improved Performance and Features

The Galaxy S25 series is an upgrade over the S24 series, offering improved CPU, GPU, and NPU performance due to the new 3-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite CPUs. The series also includes a range of new features such as the Now Bar, Now Brief, Audio Eraser, ProScaler, and an improved cooling system.

Display and Dimensions

The Galaxy S25 has a 6.2" FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a 120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate, while the S25 Plus features a 6.7" QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with the same refresh rate. The Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts a 6.9" QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a 120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate.

All three Galaxy S25 series phones have AMOLED 2X displays. The dimensions of the devices are as follows: the Galaxy S25 measures 2.78 x 5.78 x 0.28 inches, the S25 Plus are 2.98 x 6.24 x 0.28 inches, and the S25 Ultra are 3.05 x 6.41 x 0.32 inches.

Storage and Connectivity

The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus have storage options of 128GB - 256GB, while the S25 Ultra offers 256GB - 1TB. All three devices feature 12GB of RAM and connectivity of 5G and Wi-Fi 7.

Biometrics and Security

The Galaxy S25 series includes biometrics such as an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and face recognition through the selfie camera. The S25 Ultra has enhanced durability with Corning Gorilla Armor (front glass), Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 (rear glass), and a Titanium frame.

Additional Features

The new Galaxy S25 series also features Samsung's fast charging technology, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare. The Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra both have 12GB of RAM, and the S25 Ultra features an embedded S Pen.

The series runs on Android 15 with a Samsung One UI 7 overlay. The devices are available in Icyblue, Navy, Mint, and Silver Shadow colorways.
