Enjoy an afternoon with your loved ones at the Giebichenstein Castle, a public event designed for families.
On Sunday, September 7, 2023, a family-friendly event titled "I've been there - History cast in tin" will take place at Oberburg Giebichenstein, Seebener StraΓe 1, in Halle (Saale) from 2 PM to 5 PM. This event is free to attend with no registration required.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to create their own tin cast souvenirs, making it a fun and educational experience for all ages.
In addition to the family afternoon event, a traditional Sunday tour of the city museum's managed area will also take place at 11 AM. This tour offers a fascinating insight into the history of the oldest castle on the Saale.
The entrance fee for the castle ruins with interactive offers for visitors aged 14 and over is 4 euros, with a reduced rate of 2.50 euros. Children under 14 years old are invited to participate in the family afternoon event for a fee of 5 euros to cover material costs.
Oberburg Giebichenstein is open for visits from 10 AM to 6 PM on Wednesdays to Fridays. On weekends and public holidays, it is open from 11 AM to 6 PM. The family afternoon event and the traditional Sunday tour are separate events, and no registration is required for either.
The event at Oberburg Giebichenstein will run until November 2nd, 2023. For more information about the event or the museum's opening hours, please visit the official website or contact the museum directly.
