Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are aiming to extend their perfect start in the 2025-26 Ligue 1 season when they face Toulouse this weekend. After taking maximum points from their first two games, PSG find themselves among four teams on six points at the top of the table.

PSG's boss, Luis Enrique, believes that teams in Ligue 1 have always played in a similar fashion when facing PSG, given their possession-based style of play. However, he insists that their status as European champions has not changed the way teams approach them.

One player who has been instrumental in PSG's success so far is Fabian Ruiz. In his last outing against Angers, Ruiz recorded a joint-match-high 32 final third entries, along with teammate Vitinha. Ruiz has also found the back of the net four times in his last 10 matches with PSG, as many as in his previous 51 matches.

Toulouse, on the other hand, have had an impressive start to the season, with wins over Brest and Nice. However, they face a difficult challenge against the defending champions. Luis Enrique expects the match to be tough, especially since they will be playing away from home.

Toulouse's Yann Gboho has completed 60 dribbles for the team in Ligue 1 since the start of last season. Despite this, the odds are heavily in favour of PSG, with Opta predicting a 65% probability of a PSG win, a 20% probability of a draw, and a mere 15% chance of a Toulouse victory.

It's worth noting that Toulouse have not beaten PSG at home since the 2007-08 season, losing the last five home games against the Parisians in Ligue 1. Moreover, Toulouse could equal their longest winless streak at home against PSG, which is six between 2010 and 2016.

PSG have been in fine form on the road, posting back-to-back 1-0 victories over Nantes and Angers, respectively. They have also scored in each of their last 11 away games in Ligue 1, with a total of 32 goals. This is the longest such streak for PSG since between January and September 2021, during their first 15 away matches in the top-flight level under Mauricio Pochettino.

With such form and statistics in their favour, PSG will be eager to continue on their path in the 2025-26 Ligue 1 season with another victory over Toulouse.
