Erecting a scaffold atop the sandy elevation
In the heart of our city, a significant construction project is set to take place on Upper Sand, as announced by Mayor Alexander Felsch. The event, which involves scaffolding, dismantling, and water main repair work, is scheduled to begin on Saturday, May 17, 2025, and is expected to last for approximately three weeks, concluding on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
On the start date, May 17, 2025, Upper Sand will be fully closed to all traffic. Scaffolding will be erected at addresses 5, 13, and 15 on this day. During the dismantling of the scaffolding on June 2, 2025, Upper Sand will also be closed to traffic.
Temporary traffic closures will also occur on May 17, 2025, June 2, 2025, and during the water main repair work from June 2 to 4, 2025. However, through traffic will be possible for the remainder of the construction period on Upper Sand.
The water main repair work is scheduled for June 2 to 4, 2025. The scaffolding erection, dismantling, and water main repair work are all part of the event or activity scheduled from May 17, 2025, to June 7, 2025.
It's important to note that the event or activity has not yet started as of May 15, 2025, and the scaffolding erection and dismantling, as well as the water main repair work, have not yet begun.
