Italy, under the leadership of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, is promoting the country as a safe travel destination for German vacationers. Conte expressed his pleasure after German Chancellor Angela Merkel mentioned Italy as a potential destination for fall holidays.

The second wave of infections in Italy has been less severe compared to Spain and France, according to Conte. He attributes this to the "willingness of the entire nation to make sacrifices."

Prime Minister Conte expressed his gratitude for Merkel's mention and intends to repay this trust by investing in structural reforms aimed at making Italy more productive and competitive. These reforms, to be advanced starting in autumn 2025, will focus on increasing productivity and competitiveness through a "reform partnership" involving federal, regional, and local levels.

The EU recovery plan, worth 750 billion euros, adopted at the end of July, will benefit Italy and other countries significantly impacted by the pandemic. Conte views this plan as a "sign of concrete solidarity" and "a great vote of confidence" in Italy.

In an effort to combat the ongoing pandemic, the use of a mouth and nose protector is now mandatory throughout Italy, both indoors and outdoors, as of Wednesday.

The 27 EU member states, as per Conte, have shown that overcoming the consequences of the pandemic can only be achieved together. A church in Italy is depicted in a new photo by dts Nachrichtenagentur, symbolising the resilience of the Italian people during these challenging times.

Conte believes that by working together, the EU member states can successfully navigate through the pandemic and its aftermath. The Italian government remains committed to ensuring Italy's recovery and growth, making it a promising destination for tourists and investors alike.
