The European Library is hosting a series of engaging events for young readers this February. Here's what you can expect:

Literary Toddler Group "Baby Dragons"

The "Baby Dragons" Literary Toddler Group is scheduled for February 5 and 19, 2025, at 10:15 AM and 3:00 PM. This group, designed for children aged 1 to 3 years, offers a fun and educational experience for both the children and their caregivers. Each session features an age-appropriate picture book reading and unique methods such as pop-up books, Kamishibai, and storytelling rails. Changing facilities are available, and registration is required only for groups attending the "Baby Dragons." To register, call 0851/9298914.

Craft Activities and Storytime for the "Baby Dragons"

Following the "Baby Dragons" Literary Toddler Group sessions, there will be craft activities for the children to enjoy. These activities are designed to enhance the children's understanding and enjoyment of the stories they have heard.

Kamishibai - Picture Book Theater "Elmar"

On February 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM, the European Library will host the Kamishibai - Picture Book Theater "Elmar" by David McKee. This event is for children aged 4 to 6 years. The story follows a polka-dotted elephant named Elmar as he embarks on a journey to fit in with other elephants, only to realize that he is just right the way he is. After the performance, there will be a craft activity for the children to participate in.

Picture Book Theater "The Forest Book Club"

On February 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM, the European Library will showcase the Picture Book Theater "The Forest Book Club" by Annie Silvestro and Tatjana Mai-Wyss. This event is also for children aged 4 to 6 years. The story follows a character named Hoppel who loves storytime but goes without books when it's cold. Hoppel comes up with a plan to ensure he doesn't go without books, leading to an adventure that turns his forest friends into book lovers.

Important Details

Admission for all events at the European Library, including the Literary Toddler Group "Baby Dragons" and the Kamishibai - Picture Book Theater "Elmar" and Picture Book Theater "The Forest Book Club," is free. Parental supervision is required for both events. Siblings are welcome to attend all events. The author of "The Forest Book Club" is not publicly available information.
