European Power Storage Advances in 2025: FENECON Debuts Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage Solutions; FEMS Shortlisted for The Smarter E AWARD
FENECON, a leading provider of energy storage systems, is set to showcase its latest innovations at Europe's largest trade fair for batteries and energy storage systems, ees Europe 2025, in Munich from May 7 to 9. The company's trade fair appearance will be under the motto 'It's Your Energy Journey'.
One of FENECON's key offerings is the Energy Management System (FEMS), which has been nominated for The Smarter E AWARD in the "Smart Integrated Energy" category. FEMS is the 'brain' of all FENECON energy storage systems, continuously expandable via apps, and provides comprehensive monitoring of individual energy situations. It optimizes energy management using AI-based generation and consumption forecasts, ensuring grid-friendly charging and dynamic energy scheduling based on forecasts.
At the heart of FENECON's product lineup is the FENECON Commercial 92, which can now be operated in a cluster. When combined, this cluster provides up to 460 kW power and 1050 kWh capacity. The smaller FENECON Commercial 50 storage system offers 50 kW power, with a capacity ranging from 28 to 210 kWh, and optionally provides backup functionality. The Commercial 50 can also be recharged through direct PV connection for up to 75 kWp solar power.
To cater to spaces with height restrictions, FENECON now offers split battery towers for easy installation.
In addition, FENECON's Energy Management System FEMS optimizes PV charging times and controls loads, reducing curtailment losses of solar installations. This is particularly beneficial for new extensions of FEMS, which include the use of variable grid fees and tariff levels, as well as new providers of dynamic electricity tariffs not coupled to EPEX.
FENECON's large-scale storage system, the Industrial XL, is suitable for multi-market trading applications and co-location at PV and wind parks or industrial sites. It offers 1.5 MW power and 4 MWh capacity.
The Smarter E AWARD honours technological innovations and groundbreaking solutions that contribute to a stable, renewable energy supply. The award ceremony for The Smarter E AWARD will take place on the eve of The smarter E Europe, on May 6, 2025.
