European Union Commission has endorsed a communication regarding the enactment of their environmental action plan.
In Lower Saxony, Germany, a series of traffic accidents and an incident at Verden station took place over the weekend. Here's a rundown of the events:
On Saturday afternoon, a 38-year-old man fell into the gap between the platform and an incoming train at Verden station. Fortunately, he sustained only minor injuries and was treated briefly in a hospital.
Meanwhile, on the A27 towards Cuxhaven, a 26-year-old car driver felt faint and collided multiple times with the outer guardrail. The driver was lightly injured and was taken to the hospital. The car was not driveable after the accident and had to be towed. The damage caused by the accident, including to the vehicle and guardrail, is estimated to be approximately β¬10,000.
In a separate incident on the A27, a hit-and-run accident occurred, involving a 15-year-old girl. The name of the driver involved in the accident has not been publicly disclosed. The girl sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Witnesses of both traffic accidents in Osterholz-Scharmbeck are asked to contact the police.
On December 14, 2024, a traffic accident occurred in Oyten, involving a 52-year-old driver from Ottersberg who failed to yield and collided with a 37-year-old woman. Both vehicles sustained damage in the accident. The 52-year-old driver was uninjured, while the 37-year-old woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary checks.
Another traffic accident took place in Osterholz-Scharmbeck on Saturday afternoon, involving a 20-year-old driver and an 86-year-old e-bike rider. The e-bike rider sustained minor injuries.
Lastly, in Osterholz-Scharmbeck, a hit-and-run accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, involving a 15-year-old girl and an unidentified driver. The girl sustained minor injuries in the accident.
