Get ready for an exciting day in nature as the 23rd Forest Experience Day is set to take place on September 7, 2025, in LĂźbeck's city forest, Israelsdorf. This event, organised by the LĂźbeck forestry department in collaboration with local environmental organisations, promises to be a unique blend of education, entertainment, and interactive activities.

The day's programme is packed with a variety of activities. Proven favourites such as tree climbing with PlanB, horse demonstrations by Arne Brahmstaedt and his cold-blooded horses, and a lift to the treetops will return. New additions this year include an electric chainsaw carver, a hammock island in the forest, and a small stage program on the forest stage.

The event will run from 10 am to 5 pm, with the shuttle bus operating from 9:15 am to 5:30 pm. Due to limited parking in Israelsdorf, it is recommended to arrive by public transportation or make use of the free shuttle bus. The shuttle bus route includes Glashüttenweg (Aldi parking lot) - An der Hülshorst - Am Schellbruch - Medebekstraße - Waldstraße - Eichenweg - Eichenweg/Corner Gothmunder Weg.

Aside from the activities, visitors can enjoy wild sausages, cake, and fresh juice from their own harvest, available for purchase. Culinary offerings will also be provided by the Deutsche Waldjugend, Verein Gemeinsam Buddeln, and Hanse-Obst.

The Forest Experience Day is not just about fun; it's also an opportunity to learn more about sustainable forest use and current challenges. At the stands of the city forest team, topics such as the near-natural forest concept, the importance of dead wood, waste avoidance in the forest, and sensory experiences in nature will be discussed.

Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a family looking for a fun day out, or someone interested in learning more about sustainable forestry, the 23rd Forest Experience Day in LĂźbeck's city forest is an event not to be missed. Admission to the event is free, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for all.
