Evening travel on Route 63 and 60 may experience delays as per the notification by NVV concerning revised schedules.
In the heart of Hesse, residents and visitors alike are experiencing changes to the public transportation system due to various repairs and renovations.
The state of Hesse is investing significantly in these improvements, with up to 4.25 million euros allocated from the Mobility Funding Act for the repair of the tram tracks. Additionally, approximately 925,000 euros is being invested in the renovation of the state road. The Regionalbahn Kassel (RBK) will be responsible for the costs of repairing the tram tracks, amounting to around 5.0 million euros.
Line 60 passengers should be aware of schedule extensions due to changes in Line 63. This extension includes additional bus and AST trips. Unfortunately, trips on Line 63 that run between the city center and Rengershausen via Kirchbauna will not be affected by this change.
For those using Line 63 to access the Baunsberg residential area, please note that this service will not be available in the evenings and on weekends. The traffic will be rerouted via the A49 using the city-Mitte and city-Nord exits.
Despite these disruptions, access to the Porschestraße from the city center remains unchanged and is always possible.
Construction work by Hessen Mobil and RBK has closed the traffic junction between the city and Oberzwehren since the beginning of the week. The Ulmenstraße between the traffic junction and the Porschestraße is also closed until approximately mid-September. Increased traffic is expected in the area of the city exits on the A49.
Line 63 will be rerouted due to construction work in Ulmenstraße, running between Altenbauna Rathaus and Rengershausen Knallhütte via the A49. Unfortunately, the stops VW-Haupttor, Baunsberg, and VW-Werk cannot be served on Line 63. However, a tram replacement service for Line 4 can be used instead for unserved stops on Line 63.
