Other signs of a bleeding disorder might include frequent or prolonged nosebleeds, easy bruising, or prolonged bleeding from cuts. These symptoms, if present, should not be ignored.

When a young woman starts her period, her hormone systems are still maturing, which can cause irregular cycles for a couple of years. However, what counts as "regular" varies from person to person, but typically, one period occurs every 28 days or so and lasts about a week.
