Excessive Speeding and Risky Maneuvers by Surat University Students in a Flashy Car Procession Prompt Widespread Criticism
In a shocking turn of events, a luxury car rally involving around 30 high-end vehicles, including BMWs, Mercedes, and Skodas, was held in Surat's Kunkani village, Olpad taluka. The convoy, which disrupted traffic flow and violated multiple traffic rules, was organized by Class 12 students from the Fountainhead School.
The students, who started their unauthorized rally from D Mart in Rander, performed dangerous stunts like hanging out of sunroofs while speeding, blocking traffic, and endangering other drivers. The event turned into a high-speed procession that resembled a ministerial convoy.
The Fountainhead School's administration distanced itself from the controversial rally, with the administrative head stating that parents and students brought the cars without any permission. Neither the students nor the school authorities sought prior permission for the road show.
The incident was captured on video and went viral on social media, causing widespread concern. The convoy posed a serious risk to public safety, and both Pal and Rander police stations denied any prior knowledge of the event.
Surat Police have started tracking the vehicles involved by identifying their registration numbers. Strict action will be taken against those who violated traffic laws under the Motor Vehicles Act. Officials are preparing to penalize the students responsible for the breach of traffic regulations.
The investigation into the matter is being led by DCP Amita Vanani. The school did not allow a single car inside the school campus once the rally reached Fountainhead School in Olpad via Dandi Road.
As of now, there is no information in the search results about the specific organization that spontaneously organized the luxury car rally in Surat. The students drove recklessly through the streets before reaching their destination, causing disruption and alarm among the public.
