Executive Appointments Announced at Toyota Following a Resignation from C-Level Positions

In a wave of changes to its senior management appointments, Toyota Motor Corp. has named new officers for its production group and subsidiary, Woven by Toyota.

Jun Nagata, who joined the company in 1990, has resigned from his position as chief risk officer and chief compliance officer. He had held this role since April 2024, but prior to that, he served as the chief communications officer. Before that, in January 2021, he was promoted to the position of chief officer for the external and public affairs group.

Jun Nagata's career at Toyota Motor Corp. spanned over three decades, during which he held various sales roles before being promoted to an operating officer position in January 2021.

Yoji Matsuyama, who has been a member of Toyota Motor Corp. since 1992, will take on the role of chief compliance officer in addition to his current responsibilities. Matsuyama has served in roles within Toyota's purchasing group and has also held positions on external boards and councils. He is currently the deputy chief officer for the general administration and human resources group, a position he shares with Takanori Azuma.

Azuma, who has been an external board member for Woven by Toyota since April 2023, will take on the role of chief risk officer in addition to his existing duties at Toyota Motor Corp.

Other executives at Toyota Motor Corp. will take on the roles left by Jun Nagata. The resignation was announced in a Nov. 27 press release.

The changes come as Toyota Motor Corp. continues to evolve and adapt to the ever-changing automotive landscape. The company's commitment to innovation and excellence remains unwavering, and these changes are expected to further strengthen its position as a leader in the industry.
