Expanded Accessibility for Senior Citizens in Transportation
In the heart of Marburg city centre, a new initiative is set to benefit the senior population. The University City of Marburg is organising a senior movement offer, connected to the senior cafΓ© in Stadtwald at Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-StraΓe 16. This offer is part of Marburg's comprehensive concept for movement and health promotion.
Beginning on August 27th, seniors can participate in this new movement offer, which is a free addition to the open movement offers, specifically catering to the senior population. The programme will take place every fourth Wednesday of the month, from 4:30 PM to 6 PM.
The senior movement offer provides a relaxed atmosphere where participants can engage in exercises designed to improve mobility, strength, and balance. These exercises are tailored to individual abilities and knowledge, making them accessible and enjoyable for all.
The city of Marburg is expanding its open movement offers as part of the project "Communal Movement Promotion for the Implementation of the National Recommendations" (KOMBINE). The senior movement offer is one of these new initiatives.
For those interested in staying updated on town hall and city life, the University City of Marburg encourages subscribing to its newsletter. Subscribing provides access to important information directly to one's email inbox.
It's worth noting that the senior movement offer does not contain any advertisements, ensuring a distraction-free environment for participants.
Whether in the city centre or the City Forest, seniors in Marburg now have a new opportunity to prioritise their health and wellbeing. Join us in celebrating this new addition to Marburg's open movement offers.
