Expanded investment in climate advisory services

The Ministry of Food, Rural Affairs, and Consumer Protection has announced the launch of a subsidized climate consultation programme for businesses in Baden-Württemberg. Nine approved consulting organizations are offering their services to help businesses adapt to climate change and protect the countryside.

The consultation module is focused on external climate protection and adaptation to climate change. The nine approved consulting organizations are: Bioland Consulting Service GmbH, Neckar-Odenwald-Tauber Agricultural Consulting Service e.V., Agricultural Consulting Service for Crop and Plant Production e.V., Agricultural Consulting Service for Cattle Ilshofen e.V., LKV Consulting and Service GmbH, Allgäu Agricultural Consulting e.V., Demeter Consulting e.V., Ecological Fruit Growing Consulting Service e.V., and Garden Consulting GmbH.

Each consulting organization provides contact details, applicable hourly rates, and further information online. The European Union, the federal and state governments of Baden-Württemberg, and the Development of Rural Areas (LEADER) program are funding the consultation.

The consultation records the business's initial situation and develops company-specific measures for climate protection. Soil conservation and sustainable carbon sequestration play a central role in the consultation. The consultant can create a climate balance for the business and develop adaptation strategies for potential extreme weather events.

Subsidized climate consultation support measures typically include funding for solar projects, such as covering part of the costs for studies, expert opinions, and planning concepts. There are also incentives for tenant electricity concepts, like feed-in tariffs and tenant electricity bonuses. Additionally, support is available for innovative climate technology investments tailored to companies to facilitate the realization of larger solar or renewable energy projects.

The funding rate for the climate consultation will be increased from 85% to 95% of net costs for contracts concluded on or after September 1, 2025. The subsidized individual business consultation can be booked at any of the approved consulting organizations.

For inquiries, contact details are available through the Ministry's Press Office and Contact Form. The consultation is an excellent opportunity for businesses in Baden-Württemberg to take action against climate change and secure the future of the countryside.
