Expanded Mumbai Central-Indore Tri-Weekly Special Train Service Continues, Set to Run Through September 13
The Western Railway has announced an extension of the Mumbai Central - Indore Special trains for a period of three weeks from 1st to 12th September, 2025, and further until December 2025. This move is aimed at meeting the increased travel demand during the festive season.
Train No. 09085, departing from Mumbai Central at 23:20 hours every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, will arrive in Indore the next day at 13:00 hours. On the return journey, Train No. 09086, departing from Indore at 17:00 hours every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, will arrive in Mumbai Central the next day at 07:10 hours.
Both trains consist of First AC, AC 2-Tier, and AC 3-Tier Coaches, and their composition remains the same during the extended trips. The departure and arrival times for both trains remain unchanged.
Enroute, both trains will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Dahod, Ratlam, and Ujjain station in both directions. For detailed information regarding timings of halts and composition, passengers may visit
Booking for the extended trips opens from 31.08.2025 at all PRS Counters and on the IRCTC website. It is important to note that no changes in the departure or arrival times have been mentioned for the extended trips.
In a related development, a woman accused in a railway job scandal has been charged in the anticipatory detention warrant procedure. She is alleged to have benefited from the extension of the special train trips Mumbai Central - Indore from September 1 to 12, 2025.
