Expanding its line of plug-in hybrid vehicles, Mercedes-Benz introduces the 2025 GLC 350 e, a mid-size SUV bearing the iconic three-pointed star.
Mercedes-Benz Australia is set to launch the GLC 350 e 4MATIC, a new plug-in hybrid SUV, on September 3, 2025, priced at $99,900 (MRLP). This latest addition to the Mercedes-Benz range is part of the company's ongoing strategy to broaden electrification across its models.
The GLC 350 e 4MATIC combines a four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a total system output of 230 kW and 550 Nm. This powerful hybrid setup allows the SUV to travel up to 132 km (NEDC) on electric power alone and reach 140 km/h without using petrol.
The SUV comes equipped with various features designed to enhance efficiency and performance. The haptic accelerator pedal, for instance, guides efficient transitions between power sources. The GLC 350 e also offers three driving modes: Electric, Battery Level, and Hybrid, accessible via DYNAMIC SELECT.
In terms of design, the GLC 350 e features AVANTGARDE styling as standard, along with privacy glass, metallic paint, and aluminum-look side steps. The Sport Package, priced at $6,000 MRLP, adds AMG Line styling, larger front brakes, and 20-inch wheels. For those seeking a darker aesthetic, the Night Package ($1,300) darkens exterior elements when combined with Sport.
Inside, the GLC 350 e offers a host of comfort and convenience features. Heated memory front seats with lumbar support, ambient lighting, a head-up display, and a panoramic sunroof are just a few examples. The Plus Package ($7,600) bundles driver assistance systems, Burmesterยฎ 3D audio, DIGITAL LIGHT, enhanced vehicle protection, and MBUX augmented reality navigation.
Connectivity features are also abundant, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless phone charging, digital radio, and a fingerprint scanner all included as standard. Optional extras include an 11 kW AC charging system, which allows for a full recharge in approximately two hours, and a 55 kW DC fast-charging package, which can restore 0-80% capacity in around 20 minutes.
The rear axle self-levelling suspension system ensures a consistent ride height regardless of load, while the GLC 350 e's two charging cables cater to various charging locations, including wallbox, public, and home charging.
The GLC 350 e 4MATIC's introduction marks a significant step forward in Mercedes-Benz's electrification strategy, offering customers efficient choices without compromising on equipment or capability.
