Expansion of Xenon, an automation expert, in Dresden for future investment ventures

In a significant move, Xenon Automation Technology, a leading manufacturer of automated production systems, has announced an investment of 3.5 million euros in the construction of a new assembly hall in Dresden. This decision is a testament to the company's commitment to the Dresden region and its faith in the region's potential.

The new assembly hall is expected to improve logistics at the site and centralize production, offering significant logistical advantages through optimized process workflows and improved supply chain efficiency. According to Bastian Reith, the person responsible for production and procurement at Xenon, the new buildings will halve the logistics effort.

Xenon has been a pioneer in the Coschütz-Gittersee industrial area since 1994, being the first to settle in this area. Today, the company employs around 325 people at its Dresden site, 90 in China, and 50 in Mexico. The foreign sites of Xenon are growing rapidly and serve customers overseas in service, development, and production.

The growth of Xenon's foreign sites is particularly noticeable, with the company's focus on future technologies including electronic components for renewable energy expansion and sensors for autonomous driving. Xenon is also involved in the development of water electrolysis systems with Sunfire, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable technologies.

Xenon's resilience is attributed to its international position and diversified focus on future technologies. The company has a high export quota and is in constant competition, according to CEO Tobias Reissmann. Despite this, Xenon achieved a record turnover of 88 million euros in 2024.

The new production hall aims to shorten delivery routes and increase efficiency, which is crucial in the competitive automated production systems industry. Xenon has developed innovative assembly processes for fuel cell stacks with an integrated layer correction, further enhancing its competitive edge.

It's important to note that the investment is not related to the announced economic program of the federal government. Xenon Automation Technology continues to be a key player in the automated production systems industry, with its sights set on future technologies and global expansion.
