The city of Aschaffenburg is set to host an exciting art exhibition titled "Art Dementia Community 2025", which will run from September 18 to October 16 at Martinushaus, Treibgasse 26. This exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Faculty of Design at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, the Martinus Forum, and the Education Office of the City of Aschaffenburg.

The project, initiated by Sarah Brendecke, whose father was affected by dementia, aims to support caregivers and explore whether creative engagement significantly contributes to the well-being of people with dementia. The artworks displayed are creations from a July-August art project that involved volunteers and people with dementia.

The vernissage (opening event) of the exhibition will take place on September 17 at 5 PM, followed by a sneak peek into a documentary film about the project at 6 PM. For those interested in learning more about the project and Sarah Brendecke, visit

The exhibition fosters encounters, creativity, and understanding, creating a network that supports caregivers and enables social participation. It also includes information about dementia and the situation of caregivers.

Guided tours will take place on September 25, October 2, and October 7. To register for these tours, visit https://education-office.ticketmachine.de/de. Admission to the exhibition is free.

The project is being accompanied by a professional film team, which will create a documentary in the coming months. For more information about the project and its initiatives, visit
