In a world where happiness can sometimes seem elusive, a new book aims to provide a practical guide for finding joy in work, relationships, and everyday life. "The Alphabet of Happiness" by Klaudia Mitura, recently released by O-Books, has already drawn praise from figures in the field of psychology and personal development.

The book is the result of a personal experiment carried out by Mitura and her friend Kitty, later becoming the basis for "The Happiness Challenge" podcast. Shawn Achor, bestselling author of "The Happiness Advantage", has praised the book for offering a clear path forward for those seeking scientific insights into happiness or practical ways to boost it.

Mitura combines her own stories with psychological research and expert interviews to create a comprehensive guide. Dr Vikki Barnes, author of "Free Happiness", found the book accessible and relatable, while Tanith Carey, psychology author, praised the book's organization of essential findings into an A-Z guide.

The book is structured from A to Z, with each chapter focusing on a key principle such as Acceptance, Boundaries, Courage, Gratitude, Play, and Zest. Sarita Godber, director of people and culture at the Science Museum Group, called it a much-needed reminder not to be a bystander in one's own state of happiness. Robin Dunbar, author of "Friends: Understanding the Power of Our Most Important Relationships", highlighted the book's focus on connection.

Caroline Pankhurst, founder of Be Braver, described the book as a gift, and Dr Raj Raghunathan, author of "If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Happy?", found it "delightful". Gemma Islip, also of the Science Museum Group, stated that the book will change how one approaches daily life and is filled with practical ideas and tips.

Mitura's search for joy began during the Covid pandemic when she lost her job, postponed her wedding, and faced months of illness. She started exploring happiness through small science-based habits, leading her on a journey that eventually resulted in this book.

"The Alphabet of Happiness" is available now through O-Books and Collective Ink, in both print and ebook edition. If you're on a quest for more happiness, this book might just be the guide you've been looking for. Mitura dedicates the work to all happiness seekers, noting that happiness is not something to be found but something to be created.
