Extreme Heat Warning for UAE: Forecasted Temperatures at 45°C Today, Additional Rainfall Anticipated in Certain Regions of the Country
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted a change in weather conditions across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday. According to the state meteorological institute AMET, rain-bearing cloud formations are expected to move towards the east and west by the afternoon.
Despite the potential for rain, the weather is expected to be sunny for most of the day, with some areas experiencing partly cloudy skies. The maximum temperature in the country is forecasted to be between 44-45°C, with coastal areas experiencing slightly higher temperatures, ranging from 39-45°C.
In coastal areas, the relative humidity is expected to reach up to 75-90%, leading to mist formation over these regions and internal areas due to increased humidity. In contrast, the relative humidity in mountainous regions is expected to be 60-80%.
The NCM has also issued a warning for light to moderate winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand at speeds of 10 - 25 km/hr, with gusts reaching up to 40 km/hr.
The weather in UAE is expected to be partly cloudy with hazy skies on Friday. The sea in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will remain relatively calm. In the mountainous regions, temperature highs will be between 33-39°C.
As for the minimum temperatures, they are expected to be between 25-30°C across the country. It is advisable for residents to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the heat.
The NCM will continue to monitor the weather conditions closely and provide updates as necessary. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and follow any advisories issued by the NCM.
